NABBA/WFF Australian Championships 2007

November 7th, 2007 — 8:51pm

I am back at the nationals, as i normally just do the WFF southern hemispere Championships in may and the WFF Universe in June this is the first time i have contested this event for a few years and its great to be back, there are so many great friends i have made over the years that i get to catch up with at this event, I told the promoter and NABBA/WFF world vice president Graeme Lancefield that i did not want a trophy at this event i just wanted him to see what i am capable of and how i look in the gym a few days before a competition as invariably i quite often do not look as good , i feel after all my comps Graeme has still never seen me at my best . After following the same prep the last few days that i did for the QLDs two weeks earlier my wish came true and in the absolute best shape of my life in a quality line up i won the WFF masters title it should be noted that this is an 0/35s event not 0/40 so i was considerably older that some at nearly 45 , The following quote from videographer extraordonair Wayne Gallasch posted on his website sums it up ( thank you for the kind words Wayne ) MR. ATHLETIC OVER 35 CLASS In this class, WAYNE WILSON now of Qld completely destroyed this class in the best condition I have ever seen from Wayne. Over the years I have filmed him many times in the WFF Universe in Germany but never in this condition. He was full yet lean and shredded. He does the rope and vacuum poses, 2 poses rarely seen these days. If he can hold this quality of form and his physique next time he competes overseas, that elusive first place award should be his. NABBA/WFF QLD Championships

November 7th, 2007 — 8:49pm

On sept 23 rd the Qld titles were held at the Southport RSL, A large supportive crowd where in attendance and there were over 50 compeditors. At this even there was no athletic class so i was up against the big boys in NABBA masters , following on from the CCI in August i competed in possibly the best shape i ever have and managed to win the NABBA masters title, i was very happy with my condition and size some last minute changes in my prep had really paid off , after all these comps i really think i have finally got the formula right LOl its taken me quite a while ! it was a real buzz to win a bodybuilding title , with the generous support of Mark Ryan the promoter i will be off to try and win the Australian WFF masters on the 7th of Oct in 2 weeks ( see gallerys for photos).
